Sri Caitanya Caritamrta Adi-lila Chapter 5
The Supreme Personality of Godhead, Krishna, is the fountainhead of all incarnations. Lord Balarama is His second body.
These two are one and the same identity. They differ only in form (Krishna has dark skin color, Balarama has white skin color). Lord Balarama is the first bodily expansion of Krishna, and He assists in Lord Krishna's transcendental pastimes.
That original Lord Krishna appeared in Navadvipa as Lord Caitanya, and Balarama appeared with Him as Lord Nityananda.
In all the forms He tastes the transcendental bliss of serving Krishna. That same Balarama is Lord Nityananda, the companion of Lord Gaurasundara.
I have explained the seventh verse in four subsequent verses. By these verses all the world can know the truth about Lord Nityananda.
Jai Nitai...
One of the biggest rock bands in the U.K. in the 1990's was Kula Shaker. Kula Shaker was an all vaisnava rock band led by singer guitarist Crispian Mills who is the son of vaisnavi movie, television and stage star Hayley Mills. Kula Shaker shot to stardom in the U.K. on the release of their first album "K" in 1996 which spawned 4 hit singles and made them the hottest band in Britain. They were also quite popular in the rest of europe and hugely popular in Japan and Asia as well. They had success in America but nowhere near the popularity they enjoyed in the U.K, Europe and Japan and Asia.
They split in 1999. They each worked on various projects with Crispian forming The Jeevas. The Jeevas were well received but did not enjoy the great popularity of Kula Shaker.
In 2006 minus the keyboardist Jay who is touring with Oasis, Kula Shaker has reformed and has been touring the U.K. at sold out shows to critical acclaim. They have released an EP entitled "Revenge of the King" with 4 new songs available only on itunes. They will be releasing an album later this year and will be playing the summer festivals in the U.K, Japan and more dates to be announced.
